[Mailman-Users] Mailman synonym for listserv 'probe'?

Listserv has a nice little feature called 'probe' that will send a message
to all users on a list.  Those that don't come back are OK, but those that
bounce, are removed from the list -- pretty handy for maintanence purposes.
Is there a similar utility or is it an innate functionality of Mailman?
