pipermail will not extract MIME types and display them in an appropriate
format via the Web, so you need to look towards an external archiver
for this type of functionality.

Take a look at the PUBLIC_EXTERNAL_ARCHIVER definition in your mm_cfg.py
file.

I recommend using MHonArc (available at

   http://www.mhonarc.org/

) for this type of thing -- it's a fully MIME-aware, flexible archiver.
