[Mailman-Users] MIME-ified subject

It's giving me the hives:
We have a German list based on Mailman here and the users use Umlauts in
both Subject: and body of their mails:
http://www.stahl.bau.tu-bs.de/pipermail/litquiz/2000-March/subject.html
This breaks
a) The archive which is REALLY ugly to look at
b) The detection of the list's name when replying (stripping superfluous
"Re:"'s and "[list]"'s from "Re: [list] Re: [list]" fails!)
