[Mailman-Users] How may I delete selected messages from archive?

I would want something like:

delete messages older than _____ days, or
delete messages older than date: ______

Right now it's tough with a message being in 3 different places: its own html file, the mbox file, and an indexed file.  I can see the need for gigs of HD space for active lists.  A way to prune this is really needed.
