[Mailman-Users] Archiving and pipermail...

On one of my mailing lists I turned on the Archiving option. Since then,
it was not possible to post any messages to that list. The messages did
arrive later on, when I had turned the archiving option off. In the
Mailman error log I found errors like these:

Oct 17 05:10:02 2000 (38094) Archive file access failure:
        /usr/local/mailman/archives/private/relax.mbox/relax.mbox (0, 'Error')
Oct 17 05:10:02 2000 (38094) Delivery exception: (0, 'Error')
Oct 17 05:10:02 2000 (38094) Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/local/mailman/Mailman/Handlers/HandlerAPI.py", line 82, in do_pipe$
    func(mlist, msg, msgdata)
File "/usr/local/mailman/Mailman/Handlers/ToArchive.py", line 47, in process
    mlist.ArchiveMail(msg, msgdata)
  File "/usr/local/mailman/Mailman/Archiver/Archiver.py", line 189, in ArchiveM$
  File "/usr/local/mailman/Mailman/Archiver/Archiver.py", line 160, in __archiv$
File "/usr/local/mailman/Mailman/Mailbox.py", line 41, in AppendMessage
    self.fp.seek(-1, 2)
IOError: (0, 'Error')

The permissions in the file /usr/local/mailman/archives/private/ are like
this, I thought that should be okay:

drwxrws--x 3 root mailman 512 Oct 17 05:00 .
drwxrwsr-x 4 root mailman 512 Oct 17 02:03 ..
drwxrwxr-x 2 mailman mailman 512 Oct 17 05:05 relax.mbox

Also, when I request to locate pipermail, I get this response:

sacha at unity (~) # locate pipermail

And that's all... shouldn't there be more?

I hope someone can enlighten me...
Thanks anyhow!
