[Mailman-Users] Old stupid messages in archives

When I setup one of the lists here I had quite a sequence of "this is a
test after xxxx at hh:mm" sorts of messages, and they are hanging out in
the archive.

It looks like I can probably edit the file
	/home/mailman/archives/public/<listname>.mbox/<listname>.mbx
and delete the offending messages, but I really don't want to break
things.

Has anyone tried this? Did it work?

Van
