[Mailman-Users] More updates on my little tech nightmare

Amanda arandall at auntminnie.com

Well! I don't know exactly what happened, but it looks like something
was funky within qmail-inject. (Like, corrupted. All I can
figure is that the power outage that destroyed tux's keyboard and a
few other files, somehow managed to affect this one enough
that some mail will go through it and other mail barfs. I don't
pretend to understand. I told my boss we needed another UPS... but
do I get one? noooo...)

Anyway, solve one problem, find another. I can *post* to the list from
any address inside our network (either on auntminnie.com
or on tux's domain). The posts show up on the admin interface and the
admin (now amanda at tux) receives notification
"immediately" in email. (This was not working before, either when the
admin was arandall at auntminnie.com or when it was
amanda at tux.)

I go into the admin interface and approve the posts. The posts arrive
at all local addresses (@tux.[foo.bar]) - which is a
tremendous improvement! And there was rejoicing in the streets. Or at
least the aisles of the cubicle farm.

But mail to the remote addresses (@auntminnie.com) is bouncing -- and
there's no dang error message that I can find. The
mailserver that handles AM mail will accept mail from tux.[foo.bar] -
I just checked, to assure my sanity - the only things that are
bouncing are the messages that go through Mailman. What the heck??

I also looked at the mail/error logs on AM's mail server, and I can
find no indication that mail is actually being rejected or returned
... I admit that I do not understand what is going on.

The bounce notice is as follows... any suggestions are greatly
welcomed, as time is running short.

=)
Amanda

__________HeadeR___________Oh, how I would love to be able to post to
the list.
What a joy that
would be. To be able to send a post, and receive it in email! Ah, what

a thrill.

=)
