It will be possible in Mailman 2.1, but someone will have to write the
appropriate Oracle or whatever adaptor to your back-end database.
Iiiifff I have time I will try to write either an LDAP or a Berkeley
adaptor, but no promises.  Contributions are, of course, welcome! :)
