[Mailman-Users] Majordomo-style email based commands

Hi -

The Mailman features page at http://list.org/features.html mentions that 
Mailman supports "Majordomo-style email based commands."  I haven't been 
able to find any documentation about this.  Can someone point me to some 
documentation?

Are the commands available only to list subscribers, or can list owners
manage lists via email as well?
