[Mailman-Users] Privacy Option Question

I am running mailman 2.1.1 on redhat linux 9. I have seen an address
show up in the Privacy Option / Sender Filters for the field
discard_these_nonmembers. I did not physically type this address into
this box and was wondering how it could have got there. Would bounce
processing account for this? Under what circumstances could a name
appear in this field?
