Is 'archive' set to Yes on the admin Archiving Options page? Have you
set ARCHIVE_TO_MBOX to other than 2 in mm_cfg.py?

Do you mean the messages aren't being archived, or you are unable to
access the archive via the web?

What's in Mailman's 'error' log?
