What do you have in mm_cfg.py for SMTP_MAX_RCPTS? The default is 500 and
if you do not have VERP_DELIVERY_INTERVAL = 1 or personalization to
cause Mailman to send individual messages, you may be sending more
recipients per transaction than Postfix will accept causing multiple
retries.
