hand, mileage may vary), or perhaps runs opportunistically, so that
your creating the actual list membership nearly on the fly

./remove_members list3
(./list_members list1; ./list_members list2) | tr -t '[:upper:]'
'[:lower:]' |sort -u > ${LIST}
./add_members -w=n -a=n -r=/tmp/list3.lst list3
rm ${LIST}
