It may. They have their own modifications.

I don't see what you describe. When I send the 'who command' I get
something like

- Results:
    Non-digest (regular) members:
        user1 at example.com (Mark Sapiro)
        ...
    Digest members:
        user2 at example.com (Mark (mime digest) Sapiro)
        user3 at example.com (Mark (digest) Sapiro)
        ...

Perhaps it is a Dreamhost issue. Have you asked them?
