You have done nothing wrong. The aliases defined in
/etc/mailman/aliases are only for delivery of mail to Mailman. They
have no involvement without outgoing mail.

Messages from Mailman are normally sent with envelope from and Sender:
equal to the LISTNAME-bounces addresses so that bounces are returned
to that address and can be processed automatically.

In your case, the list is anonymous so the From: header of outgoing
posts is set to the list posting address.

relevant in your case.
