What you have done should be working.

This list for example has in pass_mime_types

multipart
text/plain
text/x-diff
application/pgp-signature

and I'm sure my sig will come through.

Perhaps the sigs being stripped are another protocol, e.g.
application/pkcs7-signature or ??
