If Content filtering is No, mailman should not have altered the content
of the message unless Non-digest options -> scrub_nondigest is Yes.

If any Content filtering was done, there should be a

X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.xx

header in the received message. If scrub_nondigest is yes, any non
text/plain parts of the message will be stored aside and replaced by
notes with links to the content.

Of your possibilities, Mailman is the least likely culprit, the
combination of Yahoo and a phone is highly likely.
