[MATRIX-SIG] Reading pickle files from Alpha

Has anyone done something that allows pickle files containing arrays
from a DEC Alpha to be read on lowly 32-bit machines? It doesn't look
like much work, but currently I'd be happy for any minute I needn't
spend on such minor details...
