I did choose a candidate, OpsView, which is perl based and a Nagios replacement, but there is a beta of Zenoss, which has dependancies on a newer rrdtool... To be honest i like Zenoss, but it doesnt and i hate this phrase "tick all of the boxes". Given also a new version of OpsView has been released, and i havent had time to evaluate that either, i'd prefer to defer to the next gathering if you want that. Message-ID: Hi Pythonistas, It was great to get down to one of the recent meetups, and looking forward to the next. Moving forward we're hoping to get down to many more of them. I wanted to introduce myself, Daryl Antony or Common Code; a progressive little "Django Crew" that's bolstered its numbers to 10+ within 6 months; and are having a fine time solving interesting problems for interesting organisations across Melbourne -- with Django & Python as our language and framework. We're having fun as team with a strong social fabric and pragmatic problem solving ethic. We're about to take a residence in Collingwood/Abbotsford, address TBA; and are looking forward to injecting plenty of enthusiasm, energy and content into the Python community -- of course, particularly relating to Django.
