Well, you should see something like

GET /wiki/ThePage?action=ExternalEdit&save=true HTTP/1.1" 200 7759 "-" "MoinMoin External Editor/0.2

right in the access.log of your apache! Also ".../data/editlog" should
report a SAVE on the page...
