[Moin-user] reorganise wiki contents - move from one instance tothe other

If the wikis are both on the same server, set them to use the same
user_dir. Then you should be able to move the directories containing
the pages on the server side without breaking page histories.

If not, you've got a problem since you need to copy the user data along
with the pages. You could just copy the files from your wiki's user/
directory, but if any of the same users already exist on the other side,
they'll get errors when they try to modify their UserPreferences since
multiple identical users exist.

We had to write a complicated script that merges user data to solve
exactly this problem.

Cheers,
Lane

	hi,

is it possible, and if yes how, to move wikicontents from one
wiki to another preserving history? this problem would be there
especially in farm-configs.

one application would be: the wiki is growing and the contents
should be distributed.
