[moin-user] Stemming in English only

Hi

Xapian supports stemming in multiple languages:

This raises the question of which language a wiki page (or even a
subpage) is in, so it can be stemmed properly while building the index.

If Xapian does not have a language detection feature, the language
detection must be done by MoinMoin. (Or, better, contributed to
Xapian.)

I get the impression that Xapian does not (or it is just not used by
MoinMoin), and that MoinMoin tells Xapian to just use the English
language.

Is this right? So is there no hope that stemming will work in languages
other than English?
