Dear community,

I'm writing to announce that the Computational Social Neuroscience Lab in
the Department of Psychology at UCLA is seeking postdoctoral fellows to
begin in Fall or Winter 2016 (start date is flexible). The successful
candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects
that integrate neuroimaging, machine learning, social network analysis, and
behavioral experimentation to investigate how the human brain represents
and navigates the social world. They will also be encouraged to pursue
independent research projects in social neuroscience and psychology. For
more information on the lab's research, please visit our website (csnlab.org
).

The position is designed for a productive researcher with a PhD in
neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, computer science or a related
field. Candidates with previous experience designing and analyzing fMRI
experiments, and who have strong backgrounds in statistics and programming,
are preferred. Candidates who have prior experience with machine learning,
network analysis or computational modeling are particularly encouraged to
apply.

To apply, please email your application to cparkinson at ucla.edu.
Applications should include a cover letter summarizing research interests
and experience, a curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information
for 3 references. Please include “postdoctoral fellowship” in the subject
line of any correspondence. Review of applications will begin immediately
and will continue until the position is filled.

The position is fully funded at NIH salary levels and also includes
dedicated funds for functional neuroimaging and other research expenses.
Initial appointment is for one year with potential for renewal pending
satisfactory performance and funding availability. Please note that the
candidate must complete all requirements for his or her PhD before being
hired.
