Marios Kourtesis report at bugs.python.org

New submission from Marios Kourtesis:

Executing the following code in a Python2 interpreter the result is True while running the same code in Python3 is False. I tested this in Python version 2.7.10 and 3.4.2.

a = b'a'
b = b'b'
c = a+b
c[1] == b'b'

When I call type(c[1]) in Python2 I get str:

<type 'str'>

While in Python3 I get int:
<class 'int'>

Is this the expected behavior?
