I believe that is more or less accurate; Travis can confirm.  With the
new API version counter in place (it's not, btw -- still up for
review), we should be able to keep the breakage to a minimum from here
onwards.  Unfortunately, I don't see an easy way to avoid it for the
1.2 release.
