You can test numpy as follows:
    >>> import numpy
    >>> numpy.test() # basic tests
    >>> numpy.test(label='full') # all tests, including slower ones
    >>> numpy.test(verbose=10) # verbose output

IIRC, there are not that many more tests with label='full' than with the
default for numpy (the difference matters for scipy).
