For use of the minus sign, I don't have one at hand, but
a quick Google seach comes up with:

It is more common to use a superscript `c`, but that's
just a notational issue.

For multiplication, addition, and dot,
you can see Ki Hang Kim's Boolean matrix
Theory and Applications.

Applications are endless and include graph theory
and (then naturally) circuit design.
