yup, according to Wikipedia:

*Visual C++ 2008* (known also as Visual C++ 9.0)

so py2.7

Are you testing with the "MS Visual C++ compiler for Python 2.7" here:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44266

I think the only difference is how.where it is installed, but you never
know...
