[Numpy-discussion] How to concatenate 2 recarrays into a single recarray

newtable = np.lib.recfunctions.merge_arrays([a, b], asrecarray=True)

yeilds:

builtins.SystemError: ..\Objects\dictobject.c:2054: bad argument to
internal function
