Authoring python applications on the android market--*not* creating a
dependency on SL4A; that's not a valid application distribution
mechanism. Perhaps even creating a generic "py2apk" distutils
extension (and the py2exe project has already done most of the work
anyway). Of course there are source-to-source compilers, but that
seems to more or less defeat the purpose of using python to a large
extent; you end up debugging the equivalent java code instead.
