Initial Comment:
My last patch to tarfile.py (#1583880) introduced a bug that leads to miscalculation of header checksums for members that need the GNU longname extensions. Sadly, this bug slipped through the regression tests. The attached patch fixes the problem and extends the existing test case. Additionally, it fixes a minor issue in tarfile.py which I just came across regarding the "././@LongLink" placeholder.

Both 2.6 and 2.5 need this bugfix.
