[Persistence-sig] dbm and shelve

Hello Friends:
Im program  in python in the past but only simple shell scripts.
Now, i need develop a more complex sistem for a client, and i don't know
what type of archiving its the best. I test the dbm module with shelve for
store objects in the dictionary and work ok. But i don't know if is good
for large data sistems and many users working together. For example, can
de dbm files currupt with the time ? If best option, using mysql ? Thanks
