Subject: [Pydotorg-www] [PATCH] fix peps.rss feed
Message-ID: <478C0FD7.6030705@benkstein.net>

Hello,

attached patch fixes two issues in the current PEP feed that is
available at http://www.python.org/dev/peps/peps.rss:

  * Fix links for three-digit PEPs. The leading zero was eaten by an
    integer conversion.
  * PEPs are encoded as UTF-8 as per PEP 1. Change the input and output
encodings from latin1 to utf-8 to make the feed render correctly.

Best regards,
Frank Benkstein.

Applied; thank you! The changes will show up the next time the
website pages get rebuilt, which will probably occur within a day or
so.

Hi,

thanks for applying the patch. Another small issue:

* Show most recent items in reverse order so the newest item is at the
  top.

This is just a cosmetix fix. Feed readers should not care about the
order, but it'll look nicer in Firefox and the like.

Best regards
Frank Benkstein.

  noss123.com - Gifting-related Motivations.

This paper provides only a brief indication of a number of issues that are
currently

being studied in more detail. The research to date is encouraging and work
is in

progress to leverage design insights in various ways; there are three main
areas of

future work that seem to be particularly important to this effort.
*Gifting-related Motivations*. There may be a number of new or unnoticed
gifting

motivations or goals that exist in the context of using particular gifting
technologies.

One area of interest is to study other types of online gifting communities
with an eye

to identifying such desires. An additional area of interest is to conduct
studies on the

possibility of new gifting motivations that may arise in the development and
use of

innovative technologies and services.
