Hi Tobias,

I've asked for someone with the right keys to give you access.
Please let me know, if this takes longer than a week or so.

Thanks,

I'm reading it in a newsreader, via news.gmane.org; I don't think there's a
technical problem with my setup.

I wanted to notify you that the list has been unusually quiet to give you a
chance to fix what is borked (moderator interface?) -- or confirm "slow
news".

I can confirm that my emails to the announcement list have
not been delivered. The last one is dated April 30. I also sent
announcements on April 9, and 17.

They were neither rejected, delivered or archived, so I guess
they are still waiting in the moderator queue or there's a problem
with the list delivery.

Another data point which may help in tracking this down:

We sent an announcement to the python-announce-list this morning
at around 10:00 CEST. I did not receive the email from the list and
the email is not listed in the archive either:
http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-announce-list/

I double-checked my subscription to the list and delivery is
enabled.

Thanks for checking, so this is not a technical problem, but more
a moderator one. I've pinged the moderators off-list.

If needed, I can help as moderator.

Yep, we're adding new moderators now.

Note though, that there *is* a confirmed technical problem with the list.
OpenPGP signed email sent to the list disappears into a black hole. I don't
remember if it shows up in the moderator queue or not, but it definitely won't
show up on the mailing list or gmane. I don't know what the problem is, but I
don't think it's in Mailman.

1) More moderators help.

2) Don't sign your announce emails (for now)

I suspect our NNTP gateway at XS4ALL. I pinged Thomas about this but never
heard back, so he's CC'd again here. I think he's the only one who has inside
information about our NNTP gateway.

Sorry, I know nothing about the NNTP gateway at XS4ALL. I'd be surprised if
it'd drop things silently, but who knows. I don't understand how the NNTP
gateway can prevent SMTP messages from getting delivered, though :) I
suggest finding out when and with what message-id the messages are
delivered to nntp.xs4all.nl, and then contacting unixbeheer at xs4all.nl

Hi,

At http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/diversity there is a broken link
to DreamWidth's Diversity Statement.
The actual link should be: http://www.dreamwidth.org/legal/diversity

Hope this helps someone :)

I just checked the pywww Subversion repository and I don't think
that's in there. Can someone who has access to mailman configs check
this one please?

Confirmed that there's an issue here. It just needs the file extension
trimmed off.

Indeed it's wrong. Fixed.

Wow thank you for the quick response.

I don't won't to nag or brag :) but there is another very small typo..
at: http://www.python.org/community/awards/psf-awards/
If you do a search in that page for the word 'wil' the fourth result will
be 'wil' instead of 'will' :)

I am making a seminar on python and therefore I am reading a lot of
material on python including many of the pages in the main website
www.python.org.

If these typos and minor mistakes are not important, please tell me and I
will stop mailing these to you.
Otherwise, I will gladly continue to inform you about them.

This is how polish gets added :) Someone finds something that's not
quite right, and instead of going "Oh, those Python people just don't
care how the site looks", reports it and gets it fixed.

And it seems "shortly" is measured in seconds or minutes. It's fixed
on the site now.

Fixed. (The link went to a user page on www.dim.com, and the domain
must have been purchased by the French company DIM.)
