Hmm, I just had a look at the available interfaces and found that
it is currently not possible for a PSF member to withdraw the
membership and it is also not possible to delete the python.org
account.

I'll open two tickets for this.

Meanwhile, if you like, I can take care of removing the database
entries for your account, which should result in pretty much the
same thing.

Thanks,

Well... I don't know :-)

But then again, it's not for us to ask anyway...

Greetings,

A new user here, account name JuhaKoskelainen. I'd like to edit the "Web Frameworks for Python" page at https://wiki.python.org/moin/WebFrameworks/ to show the latest release versions and dates, since they are quite out of date. Thanks,

Dear All,

Thanks for providing me the opportunity to serve PSF for this term. This is
the first time I have ever been on the management board, so I will need
help with navigating around the pages alone and not others.

I have been looking around pages, but don't seem to have access for most of
Board of Director pages.

I will need access to the following pages.

https://bitbucket.org/PSF/psfdirector-onboarding/overview
https://wiki.python.org/psf/Contents
https://wiki.python.org/psf/Board/contact
https://wiki.python.org/psf/BoardAgenda
https://wiki.python.org/psf/Contents#psf-working-groups

Please let me know how to proceed further.

Hi Annapoornima,

I've added all new board members and Mark as admins to the Bitbucket repo.
Please let me know if you have any difficulty accessing it. As an FYI, Ewa
sent a link to the PSF Google Docs earlier today which has a PDF of the
Orientation Guide.

I'm not sure how one gets added to the PSF Board permissions for the wiki
pages. I'll let someone else answer that one.

Warmly,

Carol

Hi,

Name: Python for Visual Studio Code (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=donjayamanne.python)Platform:?Windows/Linux/Mac OS XNotes: Open-source extension for Visual Studio Code. Hi Annapoornima and all new board members,

for the PSF wiki, you will need to create an account:

https://wiki.python.org/psf/BoardGroup?action=newaccount

and then ask e.g. Ewa to add you to the board group:

https://wiki.python.org/psf/BoardGroup

Then you should go through the welcome page for additional advice
on the various resources:

https://wiki.python.org/psf/Board/welcome

Thanks,

Folks,

We (finally!) have an honest-to-goodness landing page for the VC++ Build Tools. I'd like to change a link on this page

https://wiki.python.org/moin/WindowsCompilers#Microsoft_Visual_C.2B-.2B-_14.0_standalone:_Visual_C.2B-.2B-_Build_Tools_2015_.28x86.2C_x64.2C_ARM.29

to no longer point to my blog post at

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/vcblog/2016/03/31/announcing-the-official-release-of-the-visual-c-build-tools-2015/

and start to point to http://landinghub.visualstudio.com/visual-cpp-build-tools.

Thanks!

HELP

Hello this the Network Operations Center at Rocketfuel inc.in East Lansing
MI We are currently experiencing a very large issue that needs to be
addressed immediately. It seems that our external IP addresses have been
BLACKLISTED due to excessive request volume .

The IP's in question are: 207.126.106.1 205.210.186.57

This was a mistake an engineer made that should not have been going to an
external repo to get packages and that this should be fixed now.

As this is revenue impacting, we expect your swift resolution of this
matter.

We do remote Python courses. I'd like to add our academy to the Python

so? My username is SantiagoBasulto and the email I used to sign up for the

Thank you very much!

To whom it may concern,

I would like to edit the ODBCDrivers page of the python.org wiki (
https://wiki.python.org/moin/ODBCDrivers) to the following ends

1) Add ourselves (CData Software, www.cdata.com) as an ODBC Driver Vendor.
2) Add our individual drivers to the existing data source listings.
3) Add new entries for data sources that don't currently exist, along with
our drivers.

Thanks!

Message-ID: <CAOkoSseRmNMO1k6bb7KDig=kW7xSUDuTRNp6nZY8cGPir+t+7A@mail.gmail.com>

Hi.
I created a python 3.5 virtualenv & cloned the forked pythondotorg repo.
When I try to install the requirements, I am getting an error which goes
like this:

In function ?open?,
  inlined from ?uwsgi_tmpfd? at core/utils.c:3517:5:
/usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/bits/fcntl2.h:50:4: error:
call to ?__open_missing_mode? declared with attribute error:* open with
O_CREAT or O_TMPFILE in second argument needs 3 arguments*

I tried to google the error message but I couldn't solve the issue. Can
someone help me out?

Hi Arun,

uwsgi is not needed for development so you can simply comment out the
"uWSGI==2.0.10" line in requirements.txt. It looks like this is a
known issue in uwsgi: https://github.com/unbit/uwsgi/issues/1262

Also our Django version is not compatible with Python 3.5. Please use
Python 3.4 as documented at
https://pythondotorg.readthedocs.io/install.html

Hi there! I'm looking to put up a project on behalf of my administrator in regards to looking for volunteers to help write some Python code for a game emulator of ours. I'm looking to edit the page to add my post for a period of no longer than 30 days or until we have enough volunteers! Thanks for reading. I await your response.

Hi! Two questions.

1) What page are you planning to put this on? Is there a spot that's
designed for this kind of help request?

2) What's your wiki user name?

No problem! I'm mainly checking that you're a legit human - a real
person will have looked at a specific page. Plus, the user name is
critical (that's how editing permission is granted).

You're now an editor. Go ahead and add the opportunity!

Sorry, but it seems I misspelled my username. The correct one is
`MiguelGonz?lez`. Maybe the username without accent was an older me or just
another person.

Greetings,

I'm brand new to https://wiki.python.org/, and I signed up as "ToddLewis",
alias "utoddl", specifically to fix a link on the
https://wiki.python.org/moin/PythonEditors page. In particular, the link
to the "ne" editor has an extra "s" in it ("dsi" should be "di"). I'm one
of the maintainers of that editor.

Thanks,

I've made ToddLewis an editor. If that doesn't let you edit, let me
know, and I'll switch it to utoddl.

Hello, I am not sure if you received any of my previous email. We have our
company, Batky-Howell, listed on the Python Training page. We have been
listed for many many years and the information is out of date. I would like
to be added back so I can edit this page.

Thank you in advance

Hi! Most likely we sent you a follow-up email (like this one) and
something got lost. And the reason for the follow-up email is simple:
We need to know your wiki user name in order to give you editing
access. If you don't have one, you'll need to create one.

Hopefully this time all will get through successfully.
