The https://wiki.python.org/moin/BeginnersGuide/Programmers page includes
the following MIT course from 2008:
MIT's 6.00 Introduction to Computer Science and Programming
<http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-fall-2008/?r=iTunes>
(in
Python). This is outdated but it looks like there is a more recent version
you can sign up for via edX.

I did not create a Wiki account as I do not currently plan to be a regular
