Hello,
I translated two python howto from English into Italian and I'd like to
add my blog to the Italian page.
The following is the python.org Italian page where add my blog:
https://wiki.python.org/moin/ItalianLanguage
and the following is my blog with the translations:
https://leucalipto.blogspot.com/
The howtos are:
Argparse howto
https://leucalipto.blogspot.com/2020/09/argparse-tutorial.html
Curses howto
https://leucalipto.blogspot.com/2020/08/programmare-in-python-con-le-librerie-curses.html.html
here the English ones:
https://docs.python.org/3/howto/argparse.html
https://docs.python.org/3/howto/curses.html
I'm planning other translations in the future for other tutorial or
howto from python.org.
I don't need of a wiki account just anyone that can modify the Italian
page to add my blog.
Thank you
Lewis.

Hi!

I?m Tian and my wiki username is TianGao. I recently developed a debugging tool called VizTracer. You can check it out https://github.com/gaogaotiantian/viztracer here. It?s a very unique debugging/logging tool that can trace python programs? execution and visualize it using standalone HTML file. Advanced filters and arbitrary data loggings are also supported. It also comes with a virtual debugger that allows you to debug your ?record? of your executed program.

I think it?s a very useful tool and very unique one in the market. I?m hoping that it could be added to the PythonDebuggingTools page: https://wiki.python.org/moin/PythonDebuggingTools. Is this a reasonable request or is there anything I should achieve to make this happen?

Regards,

Tian

Given that you previously didn't mention your user name, it's entirely
possible that someone replied asking for it, and it got lost in
delivery. But now that you have, I'm happy to add you as an editor. Go
ahead and add your entries to the respective pages.

Go for it! If you can find fresh links to replace them with, that'd be
great, otherwise either mark them as dead or remove them. Up to you.

Hi, Maintainers!

I'm Charlotte, [CharlotteDillon] to be specific, and I'm on the team at
Cockroach Labs.

I'm reaching out about writing a page on the Python Wiki about building on
CockroachDB (akin to this MySQL page <https://wiki.python.org/moin/MySQL>).
If our docs team were to draw something up, are you the folks to be in
touch with? We don't want to be spammy on your site, just want to get our
name and information out there.

Let me know, and thanks for the work you do!

The wiki is for "user contributions" so it's fine to contribute how
Python can be used to work with CockroachDB - we'll set you up as an
editor when you're ready.

I don't know that I personally think the first section of the mysql page
where it has pros/cons of mysql itself is particularly
relevant/appropriate to the Python wiki, and maybe we should remove that
bit. That's just one opinion, we'll see if others express conflicting
ones. Pros/cons of different connectors in working with the db is a
different story. Just as possible guidance what might/might not be in
scope for your notes...

Makes sense to me. I'll hold off on the pros/cons for now, and stick to how
to use CockroachDB with Python. Thanks!

We have those pros/cons for all databases listed in the wiki.
It's useful to have as a guideline for newbies when selecting
a database backend.

Okay. I hadn't looked at many others - it looks like that's kind of a
"template" since many of the ones linked off this page:

https://wiki.python.org/moin/DatabaseInterfaces

do in fact have those sections even if they're sometimes empty (see
https://wiki.python.org/moin/Informix)

In my (partial) defense, the one I did look at doesn't have those
sections :)

https://wiki.python.org/moin/Sybase

That main page is pretty out of date, there's no mention even of the
whole class we call NoSQL databases... well, it's a wiki, depends on
people willing to keep up to date. Hint, hint :)

Thanks Chris for providing the edit permissions! I went ahead and added my
study guide to the page.

I also recall that Awesome Python <https://awesome-python.com/> was one of
the inspirational references that I felt was relevant to this page, so I
added that there as well.

While looking for German Python resources for my kids I noticed that
https://wiki.python.org/moin/GermanLanguage contains quite a few dead links.
I would like to overhaul the page, so I signed up (MichaelBrausen) and
would herewith request the editor rights to be able to :-).
TIA!

Cheers,

I wish to revert it as it renders the given example useless, the "typo" is by intent.

I've applied that change, since several other edits have happened since
then it wouldn't have been useful to just let MoinMoin revert to that
version.

Hello,

I'm Alberto Castillo (wiki user AlbertoCastillo) and have been
organizing the Python Panama local user group[1]. We're looking forward
having more participation with the PSF.

For this task I'd like to request access to edit the Local Users Group
section of the Wiki to update the Panama community. I've spoken to the
organizers of the previous group (Pynama) and are all now working under
Python Panama.
