It looks like Gitlab has implemented a PyPI compatible package
repo, which can be used on a per-project basis, e.g. for CI/CD
without having to bother the main pypi.org.

Aaaahhh, I'm not sure if it's really an implementation!

INTRODUCTION

Doesn't look like anybody replied here.

We do know that effbot is on, sadly, permanent hiatus, as Fredrik passed
away not too long ago.  Some of the other references pointed to archived
material on archive.org, I don't know if anyone can find such an
archived link there, I find searching there kind of painful.

You might consider this as a possible replacement,  being a complete
tour of the standard library.
