While exploring the website (https://wiki.python.org/moin/LocalUserGroups) , i was trying to check the users group page for Nepal. Looks there is issue in the content. The issue was: [/!\]  Edit conflict - your version . This text is displayed in a lot of areas of the website from the Korea country.
I want to take a look and edit the page if possible. Can you add my email to the editor's group.

I'm an old Perl programmer who is migrating to Python, and I would like to edit?https://wiki.python.org/moin/PerlPhrasebook which does not talk about f-strings in the string interpolation section.

For what it's worth, I've been around wikis for quite a while, and you can see my work anti-vandalism on Wikipedia at?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Fordsfords which I updated to include my desire to edit that page, so you know it really is me. :-)

Looking at the beginning of the phrasebook page I see, under todo, "Use sorted() where appropriate once 2.4 has been out a while." That was 20 years ago. It looks like the last edit to the page is 2012. Maybe most Perl programmers who are going to migrate have already done so and the phrasebook is no longer important? I.e. would I be wasting my time updating that page? Presumably the page doesn't need to be V2 friendly any more given that V2 was declared EOL 4 years ago.

that I'm impressed with your resume! :) Thank you for helping with the
wiki and thank you for helping with other wikis too!

The page definitely doesn't need to be Python 2 friendly any more. You
could pick a version to assume (say, 3.10), mention that at the top,
and then proceed with all features from that version.

Whether it's worth it to you to work on a page that probably isn't 
seeing much use is only something you can decide :-) It's all volunteers 
around here anyway. You're right there haven't been changes for well 
over a decade, don't know if that's due to a lack of readership or just 
due to the lack of a volunteer who felt motivate.  And, no, there's no 
need to preserve Python 2-isms.

As an oddity, I've recently seen a couple of job postings for 
programmers specifically calling out Strawberry Perl as the 
requirement... Perl is Perl, no?

I'm a software developer who does work on a few Python projects, and I have
been a longtime editor on many wikis, including Wikipedia (where my
username is SuperHamster).

Right now, I'm mostly interested in creating redirects to help users more
easily find relevant content (e.g. redirecting PEP8 to PythonStyle,
redirecting the names of persistence tools to the PersistenceTools list,
etc.).
