May well be.  But what I had in mind was not to hack at distutils ---
because I don't know what this really does --- but instead to write a
file called pypy/translator/platform/solaris.py, based on the same
model as linux.px/freebsd.py/openbsd.py/etc, and to link it from the
__init__.py.
