'strip -x' leaves behind a lot of symbols, making the Linux executables 10MB
bigger than they need to be --- it seems that a full 'strip' does not hurt pypy
on Linux.  So for now I will do 'strip -x' only on Mac OS X.  Does this sound
reasonable?
