New submission from ys <ysbalt at live.com>:

I am trying to build pypy-c on a Mac machine using the commit 42500:dd8ead285f81
from the bitbucket repo. I have libintl stored in a custom location,
$HOME/opt/local/lib. I run (using a previously built pypy-c),
pypy-c translate.py -Ojit --ldflags=-L~/opt/local/lib --cflags=-L~/opt/local/lib

However, after about half an hour, it stalls with
[translation:ERROR] ld: library not found for -lintl
[translation:ERROR] collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
[translation:ERROR] make: *** [pypy-c] Error 1
[translation:ERROR] """)
