It's the one provided by macports, but it does indeed seem to be a very small 
wrapper on the pypy-provided executable:

> cat $(which pypy-c)
#!/bin/sh
/opt/local/lib/pypy/pypy-c $@

calling `/opt/local/lib/pypy/pypy-c` directly *does* work correctly[0], so 
marking this bug as invalid. Sorry about that.
