I didn't know about gettestobjspace, I'll use it. I'll have to think of a way to
make the test work with a pty.

I just checked, it turns out you can `hg import mbox` which is probably the
usual way you apply patches. The first rosetta stone I used[1] told me to use
mimport, but that's not necessary; [2] has better help.
