but hg log appears to show you fixed this last week. So it appears this is done, 
at least for the case I encountered. The relevant version was 1.9.

And no, of course it doesn't, but combined with some quick visual inspection, a 
failing case, and a caveat for "probably", it seemed like a good first guess.
