The attached file uses half a GiB of RAM to run in PyPy (2.0.2 and 1.9.0), but 
very little in CPython (~5 MiB), and it's also 2x slower.

Notice that the sequence argument in ifilter is important: the commented out line 
uses little memory, though it's still slower.
