[pypy-issue] [issue973] interpreter/test/test_main.py fails when run on pypy-c

although even with the latest nightly, if you hg up 38f19c2a15e5, python can run 
pytest test_main but pypy-c fails. maybe still worth looking at? the first commit 
to change the situation is the next, d1e21127b822 (first stab at kill-faking).
