I guess Anatoly and Oleg could share their thoughts here, but one of the
ideas of the pytest-dev organization was to provide a way for package
maintainers which have limited time to work on a plugin to at least share
the burden with some other interested members of the organization,
including PyPI publishing rights to some trusted users (such as yourself
:)).
