I'm sorry you took it that way.  My experience is limited to Emacs;
that's the only experience I can describe.

If you can tell the story of a maintainer of a package that contains
multilingual identifiers, and experienced a horror story, I'd like to
hear it, and I sure hope you tell Guido about it.
