After a month of work a new version of DirectPython is now
available at

What is it?
DirectPython is a C++ extension to the Python programming
language which provides basic access to DirectX (9.0c) API,
including Direct3D, DirectSound, DirectShow and DirectInput.

The full distribution is very easy to install and it includes
many samples and documentation that show the basics of
DirectPython programming. No additional packages are needed.

Whats new in 0.4.0?
Too many changes to be listed in here. There are few changes
that can break existing code, but they should be relatively
easy to fix. There are no new samples, but a lot of useful
stuff has been added and many bugs have been squashed.

A Windows operating system with Python 2.4.x and DirectX 9.0c
